A252 mesh reinforcement is manufactured with 8mm rebar, each main wire and cross wire are set at a pitch of 200mm.

A252 mesh is most commonly used in heavier duty domestic and trade concreting, for concrete slabs of between 150mm and 200mm depth. The 8mm rebar provides much improve structural strength over lesser diameter mesh fabric. A252 mesh fabric can be used in single layer or double layer configuration, and if necessary lashed together using tying wire.

Positioning of the mesh fabric within a slab is vital. So using plastic spacers, or other steel or concrete positioning structures is highly advised. It is imperative that there is at least 50mm cover above and below steel reinforcement.
